In Auto mode, users can choose from five aperture ranges (f/2.0–f/4.0, f/2.2–f/4.0, f/2.4–f/4.0, f/2.6–f/4.0, f/2.8–f/4.0). The default aperture range is f/2.0–f/4.0. In the Large Aperture F2 mode, the aperture is fixed at f/2.0. Aperture options may be limited depending on the shooting mode and accessories used. For details, refer to the FAQ section on the Osmo Action 6 official website.
Requires connection to two DJI microphones (first-generation DJI Mic is not supported). DJI microphones are sold separately.
Tested at a room temperature of 25°C, recording 1080p/24fps (16:9) video with RockSteady+ enabled, Wi-Fi off, voice control off, gesture control off, and screen off. Data comes from DJI labs and is for reference only. When activating and using Osmo Action 6 in the EU and UK, the runtime may differ from the data shown here due to local regulations on device operating temperatures. Please refer to your actual usage experience.
Timelapse (static) and Slow Motion modes on Osmo Action 6 do not support electronic stabilization. HorizonSteady and HorizonBalancing support 1080p/2.7K/4K video in 16:9 (≤ 60fps) as well as 4K FreeFrame Cropping video (≤ 60fps).
Before use, ensure the battery compartment cover and USB-C port cover are firmly closed, and tighten the lens protective cover. For prolonged underwater shooting or environments with strong water pressure, it is recommended to use the waterproof housing. Osmo Action 6 and its waterproof housing have passed IP68 waterproof tests under standards GB/T 4208-2017 and IEC 60529-2013. Do not use the product in extreme water environments or unknown liquids. Avoid using it in hot springs or corrosive liquids. Button protection will be triggered when water pressure reaches approximately 0.14 MPa (around 14 meters depth). Actual trigger depth may vary depending on water quality, air pressure, and device condition.
The depth-gauge feature is triggered starting at 1 meter and only functions when the camera is submerged without a housing.
Gesture control works within a 2-meter range using either hand. Do not block your face with your hand. Raise your hand and open your palm to start/stop recording or to take photos. Actual effective distance may vary with firmware updates.
It is recommended to use the “Starburst” aperture mode in urban night scenes with brightness above 80 lux.
Under laboratory conditions at –20°C and 45°C, with RockSteady+ enabled, Wi-Fi off, recording 1080p/24fps (16:9) video, and with the screen off, the camera can record continuously for up to 167 minutes and 190 minutes respectively. Data is from DJI labs and for reference only.
Subject Tracking mode is only supported when shooting in landscape orientation. It supports up to 2.7K/60fps in both 16:9 and 9:16 aspect ratios. Subject Tracking is not supported when the Osmo Action 6 Macro Lens is installed.
