Founded over 12 years ago in 2012 by Grant Wilson, Drone Depot has come a long way from its beginnings in Ponsonby, Auckland. When the Store first started out it was based off of Grant’s passion for aerial photography which drove him to do tons of research so that Drone Depot could offer you great knowledge on all things drones.
During the early stages we were pretty much the first NZ retailer to stock and service DJI drones and accessories.
We now serve customers all over New Zealand from our Parnell store, and are thrilled that we’re able to turn our passion into our own successful business supplying drones to our retail, hobbyist, commercial, and enterprise users.
What makes us different? We still use all of our products ourselves and are happy to help with any of those technical questions you may have. We love to find new and innovative products that we can use and then pass on to our customers.

In the past year, we’ve expanded our store to better serve our growing community of drone enthusiasts and professionals.
Our new facilities now include larger display areas. we’ve also increased our service offerings, improving and hiring more technicians for our expert repairs
Our team has gradually been expanding and tailored advice is second to none in the drone industry, We strive to ensure that our customers always have the support they need, no matter the level of experience.
